The International Auction of the Italian Truffle is an event that promotes Italy’s image of wine and food production all over the world, thanks to the truffle. Moreover this event’s manifestations represent an important occasion of solidarity and commitment to help children with big problems of health and survival. For that reason every event we organize has a charity goal. Every time Countries that are concerned with the International Auction of the Italian Truffle take part to local initiatives of solidarity.

The 2008 auction’s proceeds for a total amount of US $ 281.600,00 have been given to the British foundation Great Ormond Street Hospital dedicated to the welfare and health of children who live in the streets, to Abu Dhabi Emirates Foundation which is a United Arab Emirates philanthropic organization, established by the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in 2005 to facilitate new public-private initiatives for social betterment, and to 8 charity foundations in Macao: Caritas Macau, Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society, Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association, Obra das Mães, Macau Special Olympics, Yat On Pathological Gambler's Counselling Centre, Macau Social Services Centre, Dr. Stanley Ho Medical Development Foundation.
